allthesolutions:

Jasper hadn’t spoken anyone beyond Abby and Octavia
since Mount Weather, and even then his words had been nothing
more than quiet noises. Even Monty was steering clear. He shot
his friend purposeful looks but never dared to go beyond.

But of all the people to approach him in his skulk, Harper
was the last person Jasper had expected.

He did nothing as she repeated the same phrase he had heard
      in a dozen different voices.

                      He didn’t move,
                                            he didn’t speak,
                                                                  he didn’t even breathe.

                                    “She was a good person.”

     Jasper’s eyes flickered.

            “Was?”

The young man made a slow turn towards his peer,
the dark circles under his highlighting the disgust marring his gaunt face.

                                       “Is.”

She just wanted to comfort him, try and understand what he
was going through instead of facing her own demons. Since
Mount  Weather, she had barely  spoken to  anyone, except
in passing.

Harper hadn’t meant to offend him at all but she could hear the tone of
his voice and almost moved back. She wasn’t scared of Jasper but, for
the life of her, she   w a s   scared of what someone in his position was
      capable of.

Maya was one of the bad guys.
                                  Except, she wasn’t..
                                                She was is GOOD.

She didn’t deserve to die. It wasn’t fair. Not after everything they had
already been through.    They couldn’t take anymore loss; they could
barely handle the fifty-two delinquents that had been killed in the war
  against the Grounders.

    ( Harper swallowed nervously. )

                                     "She is a good person.
                                        But we’re sorry. All of
                                        us.   They didn’t want
                                        her     to     get    hurt.“

                                                                        LIES. LIES. LIES.

They knew what they doing. They all knew
and they didn’t stop.     This was their fault.
